Female’s journey from menarche to menopause is not an easy route. Menstrual cycles often bring different uncomfortable symptoms but dysmenorrhea (pain during menstruation) is one of most common complaints among females of age group 13-40 yrs.
Dysmenorrhea
Painful menstruation is also called dysmenorrhea. It’s the medical term for painful cramps that occur in the lower abdomen before or during a woman’s menstrual period. Menstrual cramps are throbbing and aching cramps. These cramps often strike just before or when the period begins. A pain caused by a disorder in the reproductive organs is known as dysmenorrhea.
You can also have cramps because of:
-Endometriosis, a condition in which the tissue lining the uterus (the endometrium) grows outside of the uterus
-Fibroids in the uterus
-Adenomyosis, when your uterine lining grows into nearby muscle
-Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), is an infection caused by bacteria that starts in the uterus and can spread to other reproductive organs
-Cervical stenosis, or a narrowing of the lower part of your uterus, caused by scarring, as well as a lack of estrogen after menopause

Dosage:
Prescribed by physician or
For Adults
15 drops in a 1/4th cup of water 4 times a day
during pain and can be taken two days before the menstrual cycle.
Risk factors including:
Family history of painful periods
Heavy bleeding with periods
Irregular periods
Being under age 20
Indications:
Menstrual cramps & pain
Pain in the lower back, hips
Feeling of pressure in the abdomen
Precautions:
Regular exercise.
Applying a heating pad to below the belly button.
Avoid Lentil, Rice, Cabbage, Lady Finger, Banana, Guava and Yogurt
